DIY Memory In A Jar Instructions
DIY memory jars instructions
what you’ll need
- upcycled mason or pasta sauce jar
- hot glue gun
- collected memories and photos
let’s do it
- wash and dry jar
- gather items for jar
- select filler for bottom of jar (sand, moss, dirt, leaves, fabric)
- hot glue filler to secure
- start layering memories in jar, hot glue to secure
TIP: less is more so pick your favorite items or make 2 jars
- make banners with name, year and location
- screw on lid tightly, add exterior embellishments if desired
- decorate your shelves with memories
Cheerios Sheep Treats

What You’ll Need
Makes approximately 6 sheep
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/3 cups mini marshmallows (plus additional for assembly)
- 2 cups either multi-grain and chocolate Cheerios (depending on desired sheep’s color)
- White or dark chocolate chips
- Pretzel sticks
- White and dark chocolate coated almonds (or Whoppers if you don’t like nuts)
- Toothpicks
Let’s Do It
Sheep’s body:
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter; add marshmallows and stir until melted
- Remove from heat and add 2 cups of Cheerios, mix together
- Spoon out heaping tablespoon of mixture and use lightly greased hands to mold into egg-like shape
- For legs, melt white or dark chocolate chips to use as glue; break pretzel sticks to ¾” lengths and attach to sheep’s body
Sheep’s head:
- Apply small amount of melted chocolate and press into end of body
- For ears, cut mini marshmallows into small pieces and use melted chocolate to glue them on top of head
- For eyes, dip toothpick into melted chocolate and add two dots to face

What You’ll Need
- Eggs with the yolk blown out (instructions below)
- Needle and bowl
- Rectangular planter
- Florist foam
- Soil
- Ashland moss (available at craft stores)
- Fresh white Alyssum flowers
- Burlap ribbon
Let’s Do It
Prepare Egg Shells
- Start by removing the insides of your eggs, leaving behind a non-perishable outer shell
- While standing over a large bowl, take a washed, uncooked egg and use a needle to carefully poke a small hole in the top and then poke a larger hole in the bottom
- Blow through the top of the egg until all of the insides are removed
- Carefully wash your empty eggs and set aside to dry
Centerpiece
- Place floral foam inside planter and pile on a generous layer of moss
- Gently chip away at eggshells so they look like they've been freshly hatched
- Fill eggshells with soil and plant small sprigs of Alyssum
- Display the freshly planted Alyssum (in eggshells) on top of the moss
- Tie burlap ribbon around planter

what you’ll need
makes 12–15 nests
- 6 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup Nutella ****can also use sunflower type butter (peanut butter)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter *** can use sunflower butter ***
- 1 box Fiber One cereal
- 36 mini Cadbury eggs
let’s do it
- fill medium saucepan 1/3 full with water; bring to boil
- put marshmallows in medium-sized bowl and set over boiling water; stir constantly until marshmallows begin to melt
- add chocolate chips, Nutella and peanut butter to mixture; stir until completely melted and remove from heat
- add cereal immediately to mixture and combine thoroughly
- take approximately ¼ cup of mixture when cool enough to handle; mold with lightly greased hands into nest shape
- let nests harden in refrigerator for 30 minutes
- add Cadbury Mini Eggs
Origami Paper Mache Egg Centerpiece

what you’ll need
- Mod Podge (Matte)
- origami paper
- balloons
- craft sponge brush
- small plastic plant liner(s)
let’s do it
- blow up balloons
- cut origami paper into 1 ½ x 3 inch strips
- apply generous a coat of Mod Podge to balloon using sponge brush
- attach origami paper until 2/3 of balloon is covered
- add additional layer of Mod Podge over origami paper
- set balloon aside to dry overnight
- pop balloon and place plant liner or miniature vase inside paper mache egg
- insert small plastic plant liner to display potted flowers or small bunch of flowers within paper mache egg

Onesie Baby Shower Cake Recipe

makes approximately 12 mini cakes
- 2 packages white cake mix (plus ingredients needed for mix)
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup milk
- Onesie cookie cutter
- frosting (homemade or purchased) for crumb coating
- Odense Marcipan
- blue food coloring
- decorating tools
- powdered sugar

- mix cake following box instructions
- bake in two 12″ square cake pans; let cakes cool completely
- cut out onesie shapes with cookie cutter and place in refrigerator for 10 minutes
- make frosting by beating powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract and milk until completely smooth, scraping down sides of bowl often (you can purchase icing to save time)
- ice cake with “crumb coat” by applying thin layer of frosting evenly over cakes
- place in freezer for 15-30 minutes; add second layer of frosting and harden cakes in refrigerator for 10 minutes
- color Odense Marcipan with food coloring, adding in small increments until desired color is achieved
- roll out about 1 cup of marzipan to ¼” thick on counter lightly dusted with powdered sugar
- drape over cake and trim around edges with pizza cutter; repeat with each cake
- detail cakes with fondant utensils
- use small end of piping bag tip to make rings for buttons

- Cut a piece of twine to your desired length and hang on the wall
- Design the onesies you want to display (see instructions below)
- Secure onesies on the twine with clothes pins, spaced equally apart

Pina Coladas Recipe

What You’ll Need
Makes 4 servings
- ½ cup rum, optional
- ½ cup* coconut cream (available at most grocery or liquor stores)
- ¼ cup coconut milk, optional* (available at most grocery or liquor stores)
- ¼ cup pineapple chunks
- 6 cups ice
- 4 glass baby bottles HIGHBALL GLASSES
- WIDE straws so drink doesn't get stuck.
Let’s Do It
- Place all ingredients in a large blender and blend at high speed until completely *if not using coconut milk, add another ¼ cup of coconut cream
- Pour into baby bottles (or tall Highball glasses) and serve with straw
