First day of second grade lunchbox - (turkey) octodogs, fruit skewers on swizzle sticks, pretzels and a big chunk o' leftover chocolate birthday cake with a food pick. On the side are the usual apple juice/water mix and a somewhat hidden Tyrannosaurus Rex sticker. Thanks to Libby for this! http://bit.ly/b0WzrU
***This would have to be Mom's lunch in our home the others don't like shrimp.***
Garlic shrimp in a green lettuce leaf. Lettuce is a nice natural divider (baran) because it's edible and healthy, and it looks so fresh and pretty. In this bento, it keeps the shrimp separate from the cherry tomatoes and the three colors of sweet potato (regular orange, Japanese white [satsumaimo], and Okinawan purple). Spinach log wrapped in turkey, and decorated with pink carrot and purple carrot flowers. Thanks to the talented Sheri of Happy Little Bento for this delightful bento lunch! http://bit.ly/bNL3YI
